The stumps of 10 rainforest trees have been placed around Trafalgar Square by artist Angela Palmer as part of an exhibition called Ghost Forest to highlight the issue of deforestation. Standing in the central London for one week, the art exhibition features tree stumps from nine different species sourced from Suhuma forest reserve, a commercially logged tropical forest in Western Ghana. The trees stumps are intended to raise questions about the future of the world's vulnerable forests. Ghana itself has lost 90% of its rainforest in the past 50 years.
