We have five cats and since several of them are indoor cats, we could not leave our windows or doors open in the searing heat, so we came up with an idea that meant we could leave the windows or doors open while keeping everyone secure – the result was a grate made from inexpensive materials that fit the purpose, and we want to share it to help all of you in flats and houses who want some cool breeze to enter their homes without leaving doors and windows wide open.

Disclaimer
This project requires tools that should not be used by young children -  we know you have common sense to only get adults to build it. Talking of common sense, please be careful of small children when the grate is within the window, it may prevent pets from getting out but not small children – if in doubt, don’t put the grate up.

Materials
20.5mm x 33mm sustainable wood
Cup Square Bolt (65mm long) with a washer and wingnut
PVC coated wire mesh – around £10-20 from Wilkinsons (UK) – we used this type of mesh as it doesn’t rust in wet weather and has more strength to prevent animals from clawing it and making holes!

Tools
Staple Gun with 6mm staples
Wire cutters
A saw
Screws
Power drill and 6 or 7mm drill bit

Method

1. Measure the inside of your window.

Cut the wood to length, if required use a mitre cut at 45 degrees for a snug fit.

2. Check that the wood fits together inside the window – you may have to trim as required.

3. Drill and screw the wood together

Then check it fits inside the window again.

4. With the assembled frame inside the window, mark where you want the bolt to go through.

5. Drill the hole – I used a 6mm or 7mm drill bit.

6. Unravel the wire mesh and stretch over the frame, and using the staple gun, secure the mesh on one side.

Then stretch it across to the opposite side and fix again with the staple gun. Repeat for the last remaining sides.

7. Using the wire cutters, trim off the excess.

8. Depending on your windows, you have have to cut a small piece of wood (as a spacer) and use the same drill bit to make a hole – we had to do this as there was a lip on the UPVC windows and the lock would not secure properly.

9. Now you will need to cut a another piece of wood to use as the lock – see image.

10.Push the bolt through the hole from the mesh side, through the spacer and the lock and twist on the wingnut.

11. Back to the window, insert the frame gradually and slowly as you do not want to tear the draught excluder around the window frame. Twist the lock up into
the horizontal and tighten the wingnut.

There you are, simple. You can now enjoy Nature’s cooling breezes during the Summer and allow your pets to enjoy the fresh air.

As you may recall, video footage obtained in a PETA undercover investigation earlier this year revealed disturbing living and dying conditions for hamsters and other animals at Sun Pet Ltd., a wholesale animal dealer that supplies animals to PETCO and PetSmart stores.

Animals at Sun Pet were confined to dark, extremely crowded containers that were like tombs. They were forced to eat, sleep, urinate, and defecate all in the same cramped space. PETA’s investigator also recorded the violent killing and abusive handling of hundreds of animals. While training PETA’s investigator, Sun Pet’s supervisor said of mice, “You could throw them against the wall and they’ll stand back up again and keep on running.”

Shockingly, Paul L. Howard Jr., the district attorney of Fulton County, Ga., has yet to file cruelty-to-animals charges against anyone in the case, including the worker who put live hamsters in a bag and bashed the bag against a table in an attempt to kill the animals inside—which left at least one animal panting and suffering for several minutes. Despite the disturbing video footage captured at Sun Pet, PETA has received information indicating that Howard has instructed his office to halt its investigation of animal suffering at the facility.

Please view the horrific video footage and just-released photos from the investigation and then tell Howard to investigate and file suitable cruelty-to-animals charges against the worker caught bashing hamsters against a table and all others responsible for the suffering of animals at Sun Pet. Ask Howard what constitutes cruelty to animals if not bagging them up, bashing them against a table, and then leaving them to suffer and die slowly from the trauma and injuries.

First in March 2010, I noticed the following:

Nothing unusual as we have all been seeing these over the past few years – parallel chemtrails. Despite a concerted effort by us all, Governments have denied that they exist and that they are in fact contrails. However, lets look at the next photos.

In April 2010, I noticed another plane leaving a chemtrail at the same location – however, I noticed that despite the chemtrail, it was also leaving a contrail behind. This was taken at 8:04am.

I took another photo 1 minute later – this was taken at 8:05am, check out the area highlighted by the red arrow – it shows the contrail disappearing, leaving the chemtrail in the sky.  Do not believe our Governments when they tell us that chemtrails are in fact contrails – they are not, they are different as the photos above prove. Whoever it is, they have been spraying chemicals from the back of aircraft for many years and have been lying to us about their existence and why. We watched a documentary recently, cannot remember the name, and they showed how chemtrails have made it into advertising and TV, whether drama programmes or adverts (including animated) – no doubt to get us used to and not question the chemtrail existence.

Now there has been much talk about Sylphs and how they clean the air for us being as they are, elementals. Check out the following photo:

I took this photo in September 2009 and didn’t look at the photo until recently. I was leaving work and noticed a chemtrail and to my amazement, I noticed a Sylph attacking it ! Now I work some 25 miles away from home and as I travelled home, this was in the sky all the time. Only when I got home did I realise that the Sylph was attacking the chemtrail over our house, no doubt encouraged to do so by our Chembuster.  When I viewed this photo normal size, I could not make out the sylph but when I viewed it as a thumbnail, I could clearly see it – as kids, we saw the wind in this image – two eyes, a nose and his mouth open blowing the wind. Since that image has been around for maybe hundreds of years, our ancestors must have known and tried to share their knowledge about the elementals with us.

Yes I know there will be some of you who say we will see faces in clouds or anything we look at but can you not see the face in this photo?

FOR A CHANGE IN U.S. POLICY
Jewish Voice for Peace calls for a U.S. foreign policy that promotes democracy and human rights.  The United States must stop supporting repressive policies in Israel and elsewhere. U.S. military aid to countries in the Middle East must be based on rigorous enforcement of the Arms Export Control and Foreign Assistance Acts, which mandate that military aid may be used for only defensive purposes within the recipient country’s borders, and that aid may not be delivered to countries that abuse human rights.
Under these guidelines, U.S. military aid to Israel must be suspended until the occupation ends, since the occupation itself is in violation of these guidelines. Military aid allows Israel to avoid making serious efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as well as conflicts with its other neighbors.  It enables the occupation, contributes to the devastation of Palestinian society and fosters the increasing militarization of Israeli society.
JVP also calls for suspension of military aid to other human rights abusers and occupiers in the Middle East. This aid helps prop up autocratic and repressive regimes, promotes violations of human rights and international law, obstructs democratic movements, prolongs the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and fosters militarism and violence at home and abroad.

FOR PALESTINIAN-ISRAELI PEACE
Israelis and Palestinians have the right to security, sovereignty, and self-determination within political entities of their own choosing.
Israel must end its occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, completely withdraw from these Occupied Territories and relinquish all its settlements, military outposts and by-pass roads.
Jerusalem has to be shared in a manner that reflects its spiritual, economic, and political importance to both Israelis and Palestinians, as well as to all Jews, Muslims and Christians.
The plight of Palestinian refugees needs to be resolved equitably and in a manner that promotes peace and is consistent with international law. Within the framework of an equitable agreement, the refugees should have a role in determining their future, whether pursuing return, resettlement, or financial compensation. Israel should recognize its share of responsibility for the ongoing refugee crisis and for its resolution.
The parties must equitably distribute water and other natural resources.
Diplomatic negotiations between the two parties must be held unconditionally. Countries other than the U.S. should be involved in peace negotiations. An international peacekeeping force should be established to protect all civilians.

FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
All people of the Middle East deserve the right to democratic participation and equality within their societies, regardless of religion, ethnicity, culture, national origin, language, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or other status.
Israel must cease its use of military force against Palestinian civilians, including attacks involving American-supplied F-16s and Apache helicopters. Moreover, Israel must stop land seizures; destruction of homes, infrastructure, orchards and farms; arbitrary arrests and imprisonment; torture; assassinations; expulsions; curfews; travel restrictions; abuse at checkpoints; raids; collective punishment; and other violations of human rights.
Palestinians must stop suicide bombings and other attacks on Israeli civilians.
The international community must support Palestinian efforts to promote democracy and human rights, while understanding that this aim cannot be fully achieved under occupation.
Racism and bigotry cannot be tolerated, whether in the U.S. or abroad, whether against Arabs or against Jews.

I remember listening to my great aunt Tante Babe’s heartbreaking stories of seeing her young cousin killed during an attack on thousands of Jews, a pogrom, in her city of Bialystok. That infamous pogrom was in 1906, the very year the American Jewish Committee was founded to oppose such attacks.

Feeling alone and unprotected, our family needed the American Jewish Committee. Years later, I remember my parents supporting the Anti-Defamation League because of their support for Jewish refuseniks in the USSR.

And then there’s my grandfather who endured the extermination of most of his family at the hands of Nazis. He is why I greeted with enthusiasm the emergence of a human rights group in the 1970s named after Simon Wiesenthal, the famous Nazi hunter.

These Jewish organizations came into existence at a time when my family – and so many others – needed them desperately, and their contributions and achievements on behalf of Jews and non-Jews made me proud.

But times have changed, and the missions of these groups have changed. All too often, advocacy for universal human rights has taken a back seat to their belief that they must support the Israeli government unconditionally.

The pattern is not new.

It is painful for me to say that today these organizations – organizations with such a proud history of civil and human rights – for many of us have come to stand for the exact opposite. Sadly, I now find myself opposed to the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center for dismissing criticism of Israel as anti-Semitic, for putting Israeli foreign policy above Armenian genocide recognition, for vilifying Muslims and Arabs, and for building a “Museum of Tolerance” on top of a Muslim cemetery in Jerusalem.

For many people, these organizations have not been relevant for a long time. You might be one of them. But we also know they continue to be an important voice for many Jewish people.  And we will always need Jews to be safe. That’s why we must ask them to change just as so many Jews in America have changed.

My dad is one of those people who supported the Anti-Defamation League. But when I told him the role they played in silencing criticism when it comes to Israel, he literally tore in half a donation check he had planned to send.

I’m not asking you to go that far. But whether you love them or hate them, we have to call on them to change.

We don’t expect them to fall in line with everything you and I support, but we expect them to at least have a line when it comes to basic human rights and dignity. Please join me in asking the leaders of the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center to denounce the increasing government-sponsored violence in Israel and Palestine. As Jews and non-Jewish allies who believe in universal human rights, we all have a right to demand that they speak out.

Because they have the ear of Israeli leaders, we believe their denunciation of anti-democratic measures can make a difference where Israelis and Palestinians are suffering the most.

Just last week, Peter Beinart suggested in his significant piece in the New York Review of Books that the greatest danger to the Jewish community today is not from outside, but from inside.

Beinart was referring to the increasing disconnect of Jewish leaders from Jewish people, especially young people, when it comes to Israel and Palestine. Their ongoing unconditional support of Israel’s actions, even when they violate the basic tenets of Judaism and democratic values, has become untenable.

Israel’s violations of human rights and dignity are increasing each day with:

Midnight raids on activists, including Palestinians, Israeli citizens, and internationals

Media gag orders, which keep the Israeli press from being able to write about these arrests

Crushing non-violent protests by the Israeli Army, using rubber bullets, tear gas, and even live ammunition to put down protests

Silencing NGO’s who report on these outrages, using restrictive legislation in the Israeli Knesset.

Banning internationals who are insufficiently supportive of Israel.

And through all of this, Jewish leaders remain silent.

Enough is enough.

It has been decades since the first Palestinian refugees were barred from returning to their homes. It’s time our community leaders reflected our values and did as much to combat oppression when it is practiced by Jews as when it practiced against us.

The Brazilian government continues with plans to build the massive Belo Monte Dam on the Xingu River in the Amazon rainforest, despite intense and growing domestic and international opposition. The 11.2 billion dollar dam will devastate an extensive area of the Amazon rainforest and threaten the survival of tens of thousands of indigenous and traditional peoples who depend on the Xingu River for their livelihoods. It is estimated 500 square kilometers of intact Amazon rainforest land would be flooded by the dam. Last week Brazil awarded the construction contract to Norte Energia, a domestic consortium of companies; and construction of the dam, which would be the world’s third largest, could begin this year.

The Xingu River in northeast Brazil is a tributary of the Amazon River. The Belo Monte Dam, meant principally to fuel the expansion of aluminum foundries and other industrial plants in the Amazon, would require diverting nearly the entire flow of the Xingu, drying up the “Big Bend” of the Xingu and its tributary, the Bacajá, home to thousands of indigenous people. Native people upstream would also be affected by the dam´s impacts on fish stocks, their principal food source.

In recent weeks the areas indigenous people, in addition to social movement and environmentalists including Avatar movie director James Cameron, gathered to protest the plans for the Belo Monte dam. Cameron called the dam an ecological disaster and said there were alternatives. Indigenous people have not been adequately consulted about the project and are concerned that their rights will be violated if the project goes forward as planned. The project will directly affect two indigenous reserves along the Big Bend of the Xingu, and will indirectly affect indigenous reserves throughout the Xingu Basin.

The Kayapó leader Raoni Metuktire, who gained international exposure touring the world with Sting, said indigenous men from the Xingu were preparing their bows and arrows in order to fight off the dam. “I think that today the war is about to start once more and the Indians will be forced to kill the white men again so they leave our lands alone,” he said. “I think the white man wants too much, our water, our land. There will be a war so the white man cannot interfere in our lands again.”

The Amazon basin with its intact rainforests and rivers is a critical ecosystem that must remain intact for Brazil’s sustainable advancement and for the Planet to remain habitable. Please tell Brazil´s President Lula and other decision makers in the Brazilian government that you support the position of indigenous peoples of the rainforest – that Brazil has better ways of providing its future energy needs than destroying the mighty Xingu River, its rainforests and its peoples.

Lets face it, there is life after the death of your body, we are infinite consciousness which lives on and on and if we pass from matter to the real world so what, and I am not talking about taking your life because we choose our lives before we come to this earth so that the soul can gain experience and so you will have to live it all again if you do, there is no punishment from anyone but the punishment in your own mind, your hell.. When we accept that a passing is not an ending then there is nothing to fear.

I have read many books and they all point to the same conclusion that we are Spirit and we have forgotten our connection to the universe, possibly due to the way our earth orbits in the Universe,  but now we are remembering who we are and we can see millions of people now waking from a slumber and they are starting to see our true reality and the one we have been living in has been a created world. There have been a handful, ok more than that who have been privy to this information – when the people that made it through the last phase which was the great flood they left clues for us in rocks so that it would survive anything to guide us for the next phase. Spiritual masters and teachers wrote down information from other beings and through meditation, the people with power were able to access this information and have control over the masses with this information which has been passed down through generations in the same families and select few which control the hierarchy of SOCIETY, people control all  -  like a pyramid and that SOCIETY, that reality was created from the top and spread to the bottom which is the masses. The select few knew the truth at the very top, then the next layer of top officials in all governments, all religions, all policing (army), media, pharmaceuticals who dictate what foods you should eat, your thoughts and your way of thinking and then it trickles down to the rest of SOCIETY until the very bottom where we, the masses are – we are told what to feel, what to think.  Our food, drink, drugs, speech is controlled by a very small amount of people but is controlled through all the sectors. But we are now seeing this is not the real world but a conditioning to keep the very top in power and wealth. In my blogs I have covered some of these issues about what is going on in the world as many other web sites have but I now know that THIS HAS BEEN THE SAME FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS AND WE CAN FIGHT AND BE ANGRY ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED AS MORE OF US REALISE WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON.   WE WANT JUSTICE BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN DUPED BUT AN EYE FOR AN EYE MAKES US ALL BLIND AND WE, BY FIGHTING ONE ANOTHER, END UP WITH US FIGHTING OURSELVES.   I BELIEVE THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE PUT THE TRUTH OUT THERE ARE TRYING TO AWAKEN PEOPLE BUT THAT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON IN ORDER TO START TO CHANGE THIS REALITY AND THAT CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU AND HOW YOU BEHAVE IN YOUR WORLD WHICH IS PART OF A LARGER WORLD WHICH IS PART OF US ALL.  THE BIGGEST SIN HAS BEEN THAT OUR GOD-GIVEN SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE HAS BEEN DENIED AND PERSECUTED.  WHAT WE NEED TO ALL DO AS BOTH INDIVIDUALS AND AS A COLLECTIVE HUMAN RACE IS TO GET THAT GOD-GIVEN SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE BACK FOR THE SAKE OF OURSELVES AND THIS PLANET AND START TO HEAL AND LOVE AND FORGIVE NO MATTER HOW HARD – ONLY IN DARKNESS CAN WE FIND THE LIGHT.

This is a special time and none of us have been through this time before, that we can remember, no one knows what is really going to happen but I believe if we all just took time out and meditated we would find all the answers we need for us as individuals. We hear so much about what will happen in 2012 which leads to so much confusion that people don’t know which way to turn – will it be  catastrophe, will it be an enlightening experience, will people be saved and taken to a secure place, will only a few be chosen and will you be one of them, are you going to die… No one can tell you the answers. We need to get the information from ourselves, the truth is in us all as we are all part of the same consciousness, so take time and meditate and find your truth and be guided by starting now, you will gain practice and knowing what is truth and what is not. Start yoga and practice opening up your kundalini -  there is a great source of information on the web. Get in contact with your inner self, your intuition which will guide you. I have been guided by my intuition, we all have a gut feeling but I have been asking my intuition to guide me and it has not let me down once. So this would be a good start as you will be guided as to what to do.

What people did not tell you is that we create our world and we are only starting to realise this so it is important to start cleansing your thoughts and address your feelings, keep your emotions balanced. Be the world you want to live in and KICK OUT THAT FEAR because if we don’t die what is there to fear but fear itself. Live, Love and be happy and remember from the worm to the highest mountain we are all one, everything connected, you hurt one you hurt all so love the animals and the insects and the worms and the trees – you are them and they are you, every cell in your body is connected to the Universe. If you are feeling guilty about what you have done in your life, if you are angry, if you hate yourself, if you hate others, if you cannot control your emotions, if people are bullying you or you are bullying others, if you are taking drugs, you are abusive, addicted to drink or sex – think about what you do and what changes you can make, some are gut wrenching and it may be a dark place to go but once you start you will see the changes .. Start to heal, start to meditate and take care of you, the inner child, forgive yourself above all else and start forgiving others. Start to laugh again this is a form of healing and raises your vibration, you have every right to be happy and life really is just a journey. You can change who you are now and become the beautiful light you really are and watch the changes and happiness come to you. When you help yourself and love yourself unconditionally then you can start to do the work of the Great Divine and love others unconditionally, no matter what happens know that you are infinite and all the work you put in will eventually be worth it, nothing good comes easy trust me. I have been on my Spiritual journey for 14 years since my Dad passed and it has not been easy but I would not change a thing. Hear the calling and have faith.

Galactic Alignment 2012 – John Major Jenkins

The Galactic Alignment of 2012 … The Holy Cross of the Equinox Axis and the Milky Way Galaxy … the Solstice Galaxy Alignment explained by John Major Jenkins …
It is important to define what the Galactic Alignment is in precise astronomical terms. (See the Glossary below for terms.)
The Galactic Alignment is the alignment of the December solstice sun with the Galactic equator. This alignment occurs as a result of the precession of the equinoxes.
Precession is caused by the earth wobbling very slowly on its axis and shifts the position of the equinoxes and solstices one degree every 71.5 years. Because the sun is one-half of a degree wide, it will take the December solstice sun 36 years to precess through the Galactic equator.

The precise alignment of the solstice point (the precise center-point of the body of the sun as viewed from earth) with the Galactic equator was calculated to occur in 1998 (Jean Meeus, Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, 1997).
Thus, the Galactic Alignment “zone” is 1998 +/- 18 years = 1980 – 2016. This is “era-2012.”
This Galactic Alignment occurs only once every 26,000 years, and was what the ancient Maya were pointing to with the 2012 end-date of their Long Count calendar.
These are the astronomical facts of the matter. From a larger perspective, we can visualize the 2012 Galactic Alignment in the following way:

Position A is where the December solstice sun was in relation to the Milky Way some 3,000 years ago. Position B is 1,500 years ago. And position C is “era-2012″, when the December solstice sun has converged, as a result of the precession of the equinoxes, with the exact center-line of the Milky Way (the Galactic equator). Notice that the place of alignment is where the ‘nuclear bulge’ of the Galactic Center is located.

Descriptions of the process are also there, but it should be noted that Nick describes what I refer to as “the solstice-galaxy alignment” with a preference for the equinox as the measuring reference. Thus, he speaks of the “Holy Cross” of the equinox axis and the Milky Way. The point is that “solstice-galaxy alignment” and “equinox-galaxy cross” refer to the same event.
It is my hope that the these definitions will help to standardize the terminology so we can clearly discuss the rare precessional alignment that culminates in era-2012.
Glossary

The Ecliptic: The path followed by the sun, moon, and planets. It is the plane of our solar system. The ecliptic encircles the earth and is divided into twelve constellations, or zodiac signs.
The Milky Way: The bright band of star that our solar system belongs to. It encircles the earth and is wider in the region of Sagittarius because that is where the ‘nuclear bulge” of the Milky Way’s center is located (our Milky Way is saucer shaped).
The Galactic equator: The precise mid-line running down the Milky Way. Analogous to the earth’s equator, it divides the galaxy into two hemispheres, or lobes.
The Dark Rift in the Milky Way: A feature caused by interstellar dust that runs along the Milky Way from the Galactic Center northward past the constellation of Aquila.
The December solstice sun: The sun, on the December solstice. It is one-half of a degree wide.
The December solstice point: The precise midpoint of the sun, on the December solstice.
The Precession of the equinoxes: The earth wobbles very slowly on its axis and this causes the position of the equinox to shift backwards, or precess, through the signs of the ecliptic at the rate of one degree every 71.5 years. The full precessional wobble is complete in roughly 25,800 years.
The Vernal Equinox point is defined by the intersection of the ecliptic and the celestial equator.
The Celestial Equator: The earth’s equator projected into the stars. It is the plane of the earth’s rotation.
The Cross formed by the Milky Way and the ecliptic: Exactly as stated. There are two of these, one in early Sagittarius, the other in early Gemini. The former cross has the virtue of being located within the nuclear bulge of the Galactic Center.
The nuclear bulge / the Galactic Center: A bright and wide region of the Milky Way, visible to the naked eye and between Sagittarius and Scorpio. The more precise and abstract center-point of the nuclear bulge is the precise Galactic Center, located at about 6 degrees Sagittarius (sidereal) and 27 degrees in the tropical zodiac.

Additional Glossary of Mayan Calendar terms
We can have a more general discussion of galactic alignments in history if we consider that the solstice axis aligns with the galactic equator every half precession cycle. Likewise, the equinox axis aligns with the galactic equator every half precession cycle. Thus, galactic alignments, more generally speaking, occur in era 2012 (1980 – 2016) and every quarter precession cycle before and after era 2012.
In terms of Mayan astronomy and mythology, the Dark Rift feature (which the Maya called the Black Road or Xibalba be) lies along the galactic equator (the Milky Way) in the place where the December solstice sun will be in 2012. (More precisely, the December solstice sun will reach the southern terminus of the Dark Rift, where it touches the ecliptic in Sagittarius.) Thus, in terms of Mayan mythology, we can also describe the Galactic Alignment of era-2012 as the alignment of the December solstice sun and the Dark Rift. This entire region is targeted by the cross formed by the Milky Way and the ecliptic between Sagittarius and Scorpio. This Cross was also recognized by the Maya, and was called the Crossroads or Sacred Tree.
This entire region is embraced by what astronomers call the ‘nuclear bulge’ of the Galactic Center—the center of our Milky Way galaxy. As any amateur astronomer or naked-eye star gazer knows, this nuclear bulge is recognizable without the aid of radio telescopes. It is wider and brighter than other parts of the Milky Way. So, in a general sense we can also say that the alignment in 2012 is an alignment between the December solstice sun and the Galactic Center. However, since the nuclear bulge is quite large, this definition is not as precise as saying “the alignment of the December solstice sun with the Galactic equator”, which occurs in the range 1980 – 2016. This is the alignment zone I refer to with the term “era-2012.”

Fractal Time -  The Secret of 2012 and The New World Age – Gregg Braden    – We’re living the end of time. Not the end of the world, but the end of a world age – a 5,125-year cycle of time – and the way we’ve known the world throughout that time. The present world age began in 3114 b.c. and will end in a.d. 2012.

Because the end of anything also marks the beginning of what comes next, we’re also living the start of what follows the end of time: the next world age, which ancient traditions called the great cycle.

From the epic poems of India’s Mahabharata to the oral traditions of indigenous Americans and the biblical story of Revelation, those who have come before us knew that the end of time was coming. They knew, because it always does. Every 5,125 years, the earth and our solar system reach a place in their journey through the heavens that marks the end of precisely such a cycle. The present world age isn’t something that will simply fade away into the sunset of a time that seems to perpetually linger somewhere “out there” in our future. Just the opposite: our world age has an expiration date. It ends at a specific time, with a specific event, on a day that was marked on a calendar more than 2,000 years ago. There is no secret about that date. The Maya who calculated it also inscribed it as a permanent record for future generations. The date is etched into stone monuments that were built to last until the end of time.

When the date is translated to our familiar system of time, the message becomes clear. It tells us that our present world cycle will conclude with the winter solstice that takes place on December 21 in the year 2012. It’s on this date that the mysterious Maya identified the astonishing astronomical events that will mark the end of our age . . . and they did so more than two millennia ago.

The reason:
Physically, our solar system is moving through shortest part of an orbit that looks like a flattened circle, an ellipsis whose far end carries us to the most distant point from the core of our home galaxy, the Milky Way.

The physical effect:
Both ancient traditions and modern science tell us that our location in this cyclic orbit determines how we experience the powerful sources of energy, such as the “massive magnetic fields,” which radiate from our galaxy’s core. Recent studies suggest that it is precisely such cycles that may explain the mysterious patterns of biodiversity – the rise and fall of life on Earth, such as the mass extinctions that happened 250 and 450 million years ago.

Additionally, modern discoveries confirm that Earth’s position throughout the journey (orbit, tilt, and wobble) create the ever-changing cycles that influence everything from temperature and climate to polar ice and the magnetic fields of the earth. Details of these effects will be discussed throughout the book.

The emotional/spiritual effect:
As we travel farther from our galaxy’s core, our distance from the energy located there was described by ancient traditions as the loss of a connection that we sense both spiritually and emotionally. Scientific links between the quality of Earth’s magnetic fields, how they’re affected by cosmic conditions, and our feeling of well-being seem to precisely support such ancient beliefs.

In the same way that Earth’s rotation makes the darkest part of the night appear just before the dawn, our position in the heavens is such that the darkest part of our world age appears right before our heavenly orbit begins the return that brings us closer to our galaxy’s core. With that return, we experience relief from the cataclysmic forces of the cycle’s darkness. And just as the night must pass in order to get to the new day, the only way to arrive at the light of the next cycle is to finish the darkness of this one.

We all know that dark experiences definitely exist in our world, and we don’t need to look far to find them; however, there’s also more to life than the suffering that the ancients foresaw – much more. Even in our time of great darkness, the polarities of peace, healing, love, and compassion are alive, well, and abundant.

Our ancestors had an amazingly deep grasp of just what our experience of cosmic cycles means on multiple levels.

Somehow they knew that Earth’s position in the heavens would affect the physical conditions in our world, as well as the emotional and spiritual experiences that we need to embrace them. Through myth, analogy, and metaphor, they reminded us that the farther we travel away from the source of such powerful energy, the deeper we are in darkness and the more out of sync we find ourselves with the fields that influence life here on Earth. From the traditions of the Hopi to the ancient Vedas, it’s this experience of separateness that is credited with our sense of being lost as well.

Our ancestors cautioned that at the most distant point in our cycle, we would forget who we are – our connectedness to one another and the earth. They told us that we would forget our past. It’s precisely this disconnected feeling that seems to be the consequence of the cyclic journey that carries us to the far end of our galactic orbit. It’s also the fear that is spawned by such feelings that has led to the chaos, war, and destruction at the end of cycles past.

The key to 2012 and our time in history is to understand the language of nature’s cycles and to use that language today to prepare for the future. Ultimately we may discover that our ability to understand and apply the “rules” of Fractal Time holds the key to our deepest healing, our greatest joy, and our survival as a species.

Although I see quite clearly that the solution is within us all, I also have a very temporal solution that would take us to the point where all the legal nonsense and slavery could end allowing us to finally reach the point of freedom for all without exception. Allowing humanity as a whole to truly see that we are both the problem and the solution. I have only spoke of this with a few close friends, but now I feel it is time for me to tell what I have to say. Although I know there is no external solution I feel maybe that just one could help immensely at this time with all the political nonsense going on leading up to the new election of a ‘general’. I feel this would help create a situation where everyone could take the time out to look at themselves, or would be forced to and in doing so they would find the real solution required. And what is needed is a benign dictator to set the world free from the legal slavery that emanates from an institution called the church that has captured the trust of humanity with its legal political enslavement process called democracy.
