This what Save Our Earth is about. We have been educating people on the importance of the Rainforests since 2001 if its not one thing that threatens the rainforests its another from the felling of the trees for wood, then the cattle, then came palm oil, then came minerals and gold and now a dam. There is a saying only something worth while is worth fighting for and the Rainforests is that something and without them we will no longer survive, they are more important to us then most people realise. We all have to fight for them, it cannot be one person or one group and everyone then shouts why didn't we know about how important they were when its too late, each and every one of us must do whatever we can NOW.

There is more raw power in the Amazon Rainforest than in the proposed Belo Monte Dam - and Brazil wants to cripple this power??? They do do at their own expense as well as the expense of the indigenous plants, animals and people that live there - this will affect the entire world, and in short order. This plan is greedy, short-sighted thinking by those who would implement it; even they, themselves will not be able to escape the backlash from this environmental assault - there won't be enough money on Earth to repair the damage! NO, to the Belo Monte Dam!!! Yes to the Amazon Rainforests which are the life-breath of ALL on Earth!
